There was a time on earth when death did not exist for humanity. The beginning of humanity was a hopeful and promising one.

There is nothing more unoriginal than death. It came consequentially and not as the original idea of Creation.

Genesis 2:16-17
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

Death was introduced as a consequence for living a life separated from the the Creator. The temptation was great and a choice was made to believe a lie. Death began its mission to return the Creation back to its original chaos. Death is the opposite of God’s great idea for Creation. The Universe’s greatest composition must now decompose. The created ones must now be uncreated.

The early church’s greatest expansionist, Paul said,

Romans 5:12
12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned- NIV

Paul goes on at length to then explain that deliverance from this wretched thing called death comes from the second Adam. First Adam introduced death. Jesus, the second Adam acts singularly to reverse the consequence and restore humanity to its Garden purpose and potential.
