EAGLE VISION AND A GOOD PAIR OF SHOES

What does a high-flying bird, a marathon runner and a man or woman taking a walk have in common?

They all have an advantage and perspective that helps them in their journey. They are all moving forward and are getting somewhere. Their exertion is balanced with their self-care.

Eventually a bird will roost, a runner will pace his or her self and a walker will sit on a bench before continuing.

Part of the rhythm of being a Jesus follower involves learning to rest, trust and wait.

Have you noticed that people who are impatient have a hard time finishing well?

Isaiah 40:
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

Let’s look closer at the advantage that comes from resting, trusting and waiting on God. We see the distinct advantages of an eagle, a runner and a walker.
