Genesis 1:
26-28 God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature
    So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea,
        the birds in the air, the cattle,
    And, yes, Earth itself,
        and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.”
    God created human beings;
        he created them godlike,
    Reflecting God’s nature.
        He created them male and female.
    God blessed them:
        “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!
    Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air,
        for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.”
31 God looked over everything he had made;
        it was so good, so very good!
    It was evening, it was morning—
    Day Six.

We are created very good and we have forgotten our true nature given by God. So the Creator enters Creation—he becomes one of us. He brings us back to the Garden of God’s delights.

He initiates the reconnection of Heaven and Earth. The Good Seed of Heaven has been planted in the broken ground of Earth and died to give new life to the world. He has come to seek and to save all that is lost—lost people and lost Creation.

In the light of Christ we see the day when all will be restored and made right. God again enters the human story in the birth of Jesus, a life that would beget a new humanity and the end of all sorrow.

Come again Lord Jesus. You have begun a good thing in us and we long for completion.
