When you pray, keep hanging on until you are sure of the answer.  You may have heard the old saying ‘God always answers prayer.  Sometimes it’s yes, sometimes no and other times it is wait’.

The important thing is to persist until you have heard from God or at least have resolve.  Ask, seek, knock…  there is a growing intensity.

There may even be times to persist in prayer after you’ve gone all the way and knocked on a door that won’t open.

Ephesians 6:
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

How do you know if your persistence in prayer is for a just cause or not?

Because God is just and wise, He will help you with the right answer.  He knows when you’re asking for something that will destroy you.  He is careful not to answer some of our prayers, because Father knows best.

James 4:2-3
You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.
