In Jesus’ first resurrected days he went looking for his friends. He needed them to know that resurrection was not a theory but a hard fact. Everything he had spoken of was true and he wanted to be with them.

After appearing to hundreds over forty days he ascended to Heaven. He would withdraw his bodily presence and make way for Holy Spirit to come as the global equipper of this slow appearing Kingdom. From that time until this, Holy Spirit is moving in resurrection power bringing dead souls to life, setting people free and doing many humanly impossible things.

Mark 16:
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

Every miracle, healing and changed life adds to the mountain of evidence of a living Christ and the coming resurrection Kingdom. If you have not made up your mind, Jesus invites you to examine the evidence. God wants to settle your doubts and free you to live with a supernatural perspective of open-eyed wonder!

Where do you find yourself today? Are you a follower or perhaps an interested party who likes Jesus?

It is one thing to know some details about Jesus and intellectually conclude that he is the most likely way for us to know God. It is an altogether completely different thing to have faith come alive inside and believe with certainty.

Do you have a trusting heart that courageously stares down and defies doubt?  It wasn’t until the disciples had a living encounter with the risen Jesus that they would be ready for what was coming.

Have you died and risen again in new life? Have you practiced death to self today?
